OutBack FX Series Sinewave Inverters

The OutBack modular 'building block' sinewave inverter/chargers can be used for both small and large power systems in both residential and commercial applications. Each Outback inverter/charger module is a complete system - DC to AC inverter battery charger and AC transfer switch. Additional inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in either parallel (230 Vac) or three phase (230Y400 Vac) configurations, allowing the system to be tailored to the specific power requirements of the application.

Up to ten inverter/chargers can be connected together to provide up to 30kW of continuous power using a HUB10 communications manager and MATE system display. The FX series also features a programmable AUX relay that can be used for generator start-up, alarms & more. Smooth sinewave output, with high efficiency (92% max), high surge capability & low idle current.

All units feature: 30A automatic AC transfer relay. Powder coated all aluminium die-cast chassis for maximum heat dissipation. Conformal coated circuit boards to resist corrosion. Designed to allow easy field servicing and repair.

OutBack FX Series

The OutBack FX series inverter/chargers are designed to survive harsh environments anywhere in the world. Their unique sealed, gasketed die-cast aluminium chassis protects the electronics against dust, corrosion, animals & insects. The FX series can be used is high ambient temperature applications up to 60 deg. C with reduced output ratings. All Programmed setpoints are stored in permanent (NOV-RAM) memory to eliminate the need to re-programme the system after a shutdown or battery replacement.

OutBack VFX Series

The Outback VFX series (vented) is designed for use in more protected environments. A cooling fan circulates outside air through the inverter/charger to allow higher continuous power capacity. A removable, washable intake filter is included with all VFX models.

MATE System Controller & Display

Complete system controller for both FX inverters and MX60 PV charge controller. Provides display of operation, allows control and adjustments of set points, and co-ordinates the operation of entire system to maximise performance. A single MATE can communicate with 4 OutBack products using the HUB-4 or 10 using the HUB-10. Can be mounted up to 300m away.

Includes 4-line LCD display, 15m cable & clock to enable programming of the inverter operation based upon time of day and day of week. RS-232 port for connection of a PC. Data Sheet

OutBack FLEXware FX-250

For one FX Series inverter/charger, AC & DC circuit breakers. (shunt breakers & bypass not included - See below.)

OutBack FLEXware FX-500

For one or two FX Series inverter/chargers, up to three MX60 charge controllers, a MATE system controller, a HUB, AC & DC circuit breakers and disconnects.

OutBack FLEXware FX-1000

Expandable system for up to four FX series inverter/chargers, up to four MX60 charge controllers, a MATE system controller, a HUB, AC & DC circuit breakers and disconnects.

Each FX-500 or FX-1000 system consists of:

Mounting plate

Fits 2 inverters. Supplied with mounting hardware. One needed for FLEXware 500; two for FLEXware 1000.

DC Enclosures

Includes knockouts for conduits and breakers, negative & positive bus-bars, 500/1000A 50mV DC current shunt. Requires DC circuit breakers.

AC enclosure

Includes Earth & neutral bus-bars, conduit knockouts, and knockouts for additional breakers. FLEXware 1000 offers version for use in three phase systems.

Input/Output Bypass Assemblies

Includes dual input/output bypass assembly, and AC breakers. (FX-250: 3 x 30A; FX-500: 6 x 30A; FX-1000: 12 x 30A or 9 x 30A for three phase unit)
