Solar
lighting provides the perfect answer where the local electricity supply is
unreliable or unavailable. Ideal for rural households, farms, schools &
healthcare or for field use, expeditions and camping.
These kits are ideal for providing lighting in remote places for example:
garden sheds; stable blocks; workshops; boats & caravans; or any situation where small amounts of power are required and mains electricity is not available.
Kits comprise of BP Solar module, charge controller with low voltage load disconnect, Tri-Lite 8 W fluorescent light units, cables, fuses, instructions and bracket for mounting module onto a roof or wall. Kits require a 12 V battery which is not included. Any 12 V leisure battery can be used .

Ideal for sheds or occasional lighting. Equivalent of 2 lights for approximately 4 hours per night in summer or 1 hour per night in winter.

Ideal for caravans. Equivalent of 3 lights for approximately 5 hours per night in summer or 1½ hours per night in winter.

Equivalent of 6 lights for approximately 4 hours per night in summer or 1 hour per night in winter.
Schematics
If only weekend or occasional use rather than daily use is needed then greater levels of consumption are possible and the PV module will then gradually replenish the battery whenever it is daylight.
Depending upon use and sunlight levels it is may be possible to run loads other than lighting, such as 12 V TV, radio or pumps. Small inverters can also be used to run conventional 230 Vac appliances .
