Halogen Lighting

Tungsten halogen is the most efficient form of incandescent lighting producing a brilliant white light - a 10W 12V halogen gives equivalent light to a 21W 12V filament bulb or a 40/60W 240V domestic lamp - so they produce less heat. Due to their low wattage, standard fittings and switches can be used.

Hi-Light Bulbs

These look like ordinary bulbs but have a halogen element. A wide variety of types including; round; candle; tail lamps; reflectors are available with different caps & wattages meaning that an efficient low voltage bulb is available for almost any fitting! 

 







 








 

LED Lamps

Three times more efficient than halogen lamps, 'Light emitting diodes' (LEDs) are the most efficient way of turning electricity into light.  They are an excellent choice for low level and/or localised lighting. Because of their extremely low power consumption they make many PV lighting applications viable and cost effective.

LED Astro Light

Batten light using a strip of 30 white LEDs in a waterproof casing. Equivalent brightness to 10W halogen but uses 20% of the power

LED Orbit Series Lights

Orbit and Orbital are ultra slim surface mount downlighters with powerful white LEDs and integrated on/off touch switch.  The Mini Orbit is a complimentary recessed downlighter.  Because these use LEDs they are extremely cool compared with halogen lights but still bright and with less power use.
