Humber Marsh
After
several years located in Oxfordshire Wind & Sun moved to Humber
Marsh in 1997. This is a privately run 13 acre wetland nature reserve
& environmental education centre set up in 1988. Wind & Sun
now own and manage the reserve. The site includes a number of low
energy buildings incorporating disabled access, toilet facilities and
car parking. The land is made accessible by a network of purpose built
walkways and paths. There are several hides and structures together
with a children's adventure playground.

The
buildings provide premises for our consultancy, distribution,
mail-order and installation work. We are presently expanding
facilities to provide a professional training centre for prospective
users and installers of renewable energy systems.
Aims of the site include:

To extend and
develop the previous work of the Nature Reserve.
To provide a
visitor site for viewing renewable energy systems incorporating
state-of-the-art equipment and engineering practice in a fully
accessible and demonstrable manner.
To relate
energy issues to broader concerns: environment; ecology; climate
change; architecture; agriculture; wildlife; sewage treatment;
drinking water; sustainable development.
To collaborate
with other similar sites to produce a network of complementary,
environmental and energy centres.
