Payback on renewable generation

For people who generate renewable electricity: the Good Energy scheme will pay domestic renewable energy generators (up to 6kW capacity) 9p per kWh for every kWh generated, even if you use it all yourself.  

You can save approximately 11p per kWh off your electricity bill but get an additional 9p per kWh as well, giving a total of up to 20p for each kWh generated by your wind turbine or solar PV system. The benefit of these increased rates mean that the expected payback time for a small wind turbine or solar PV system is significantly reduced.
