Wind Prospector Product code: WP-1

This allows an easy and economical route to obtaining binned frequency distributions of wind speed, the essential first step for analysing a wind resource.

The  LCD cyclic display shows:

• Current windspeed in m/sec

• Logs wind data (10 min averages)

• ‘Bins’ recorded data into windspeed bands (so windspeed distribution can be plotted)

• Calculates monthly means

Comes with anemometer, stub mast and batteries.

Will operate for 12 months from two AAA batteries. Needs enclosure for external use.

By comparison of windspeed distribution with wind turbine output characteristic, anticipated wind turbine energy output on the site can be calculated.

10m tall guyed mast kit.  Made from sturdy but lightweight aluminium tubing with stainless steel guys and fixings. 

Includes screw in ground anchors.  2m tube lengths slot together to give lightweight but very strong 10m tall tower.

Comes with baseplate, tower sections, guy wires, screw in anchors, hardware and fixings.

NRG-40C Anemometer

NRG Wind Explorer

Ideally suited for basic assessment at residences, rural electrification projects, secondary towers, and comparison sites. Produces monthly frequency distributions binned by m/s or mph and writes time series data. When used with the optional  DataPlug  it also stores 10 minute averaged data points for more detailed analysis and can provide directional data when used with the optional 200P wind vane.

NRG Symphonie

The first internet-enabled data logger allows data to be collected without having to leave your desk!  Uses standard data card or NRG iPack which sends data to your email account over a standard or cellular telephone link to give an email with a data file at any chosen interval.  Three wind speed and two wind direction channels are built in and up to seven additional sensors can be incorporated to meet individual needs and specifications.  The Symphonie can store more than a year's data on removable standard Multimedia MMC, data is read using a reader that is connected to a PC via a USB cable.
