Wind & Sun Exhibition & Conference 2025 Roundup

The walls are still buzzing from the recent Exhibition & Conference and what a day it was. Marking the 8th annual event, trade Account Customers had the opportunity to network, learn and discover upcoming products from of the biggest brands in solar.

Set up in our one-of-a-kind showroom, the day consisted of some extensive displays by our suppliers, interlocked with presentations throughout the day. Displays included: brand-new and existing products, demonstrations and many friendly faces. The ground floor was packed with brands from all over the world, with many of our visitors making a trip from central Europe and beyond.

Utilising our upper floor, guests were treated to a full spread of refreshments and tasty treats, as well as a lunch. Safe to say no one went hungry. Presentations were held by suppliers to give a snapshot into their current operations as well as a sneak peak to their most recent products.

PV Cleaning & Testing Demos

One of the highlights of the day was a cleaning display by Solar Panel Cleaning. They were set up outside, accompanied by their unique solar panel cleaning robot. Equipped with several high-tech cleaning apparatus and a steady supply of water, the cleaning robot gave one of our solar arrays a thorough clean.

Keeping PV panels clean is important to ensuring optimal operation, if solar panels get dirty their potential power output is decreased. Thus, it is paramount that any solar system is adequately maintained. As a part of the maintenance process regularly testing solar panels is important to ensure they are doing what they are supposed to. With Solar PV installations continually growing in the UK, more must be done. As of the end of March 2025 there is a total of 18.1 GW of solar capacity in the UK across 1,760,000 installations. There's still a long way to go, here's to the next 18GW! (GOV.UK 2025)
