Recycling
The products we sell have all been selected to be long lasting. If they are no longer required (for example due to an upgrade) they can often be re-used in other applications.
However, if damaged or at the end-of-life they will need recycling.
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) shouldn't be disposed of along with household waste. EEE may contain hazardous substances which, if exposed, could cause a serious detrimental effect on the environment, wildlife, and human health.
The "crossed out wheelie bin" symbol on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that it is classified as WEEE, meaning that when it is no longer usable it should not be treated as normal household waste.
By keeping WEEE separate from other waste it can be treated, the hazardous substances can be removed and a large amount of waste can be recycled rather than sent to landfill.
Wind & Sun can take back any waste WEEE product for free, when a household customer purchases an equivalent item from ourselves.
Business customers of Wind & Sun who sell on to private customers have the obligation to dispose of WEEE, returned to them, to recycling centres.
