It is recommended that Inverters carry a sign stating "Inverter - isolate a.c. and d.c. before carrying out work"

These cables have a male connector on one end and a female connector on the other. They can be used to extend PV module output cables or cut to provide a male & female cable from module to junction box.

Charge controllers must be labelled with: 'PV array DC charge controller, Danger contains live parts during daylight'.

The switch must be labelled as 'PV array d.c. isolator', with the ON and OFF positions clearly marked. Switch enclosures should also be labelled with 'Danger - contains live parts during daylight'.

The d.c. junction box must be labelled with: 'PV array d.c. junction box, Danger contains live parts during daylight'.

This switch shall clearly show the ON and OFF positions and be labelled as 'PV system - main a.c. isolator'.

A simple single panel flat roof mount which fits panels between 800mm and 1200mm wide and uses ballast blocks to avoid having to penetrate the roof covering.

These mounts clamp onto the side steel poles and suit standard panels. Usually used when the pole is required for some other purpose, eg. wind turbine pole, lighting or communications antenna.

A small mounting kit suitable for mounting most solar panels with rear fixing holes. Allows panels to be screwed down onto any suitable flat surface including the roofs of caravans, horse boxes and boats.

Brackets for mounting a single panel to any flat surface at an adjustable angle from 20° to 70°.

Dual supply labelling should be provided at the service termination, meter position and all points of isolation between the PV system and supplier terminals to indicate the presence of on-site generation and indicating the position of the main a.c. switch disconnector.
