Sunny Island X Connection Box

This AC distribution cabinet acts as the hub in large off-grid systems and is used with Sunny Island X inverters, connecting and managing all system components.

Allows connection of:

  • Photovoltaic system  using three switch-disconnectors.
  • Grid and/or generator
  • Loads - using two load shedding contactors for main loads and priority loads
  • Includes Hybrid Controller and SMA Data Manager M.

Different sizes to suit either 10 (500W) or 16 (800W) Sunny Island X units in three variants:

  • Sunny Island X Connection Box for generators with their own management system
  • Sunny Island X Connection Box for grid or generator connection (Sync)
  • Sunny Island X Connection Box for grid and generator connection (Sync) plus an integrated automatic transfer switch (ATS)
